The problem of hijacking Facebook account is not indiscriminately. Jim Brayer’s account, one of the investor of the social networking service, has been hijacked by hacker. According to some reports, the accounts were hijacked and used to send messages to thousands of Brayer friends.

The message says, “Do you want the phone number of Facebook? See more details and RSVP” followed a link to a particular address. Pehub.com site reported, about 2301 accounts Brayer friend sent a message, Sunday (05/09/2010) morning.

Facebook spokesman Larry Yu confirmed the incident. “Jim account hit by phishing scam. This issue has been resolved and we’ve been trying to prevent such activities,” he said.

Jim Brayer’s account is one of four accounts owned by members of Facebook directors and commissioners. Three other account is safe, that is owned by Mark Zuckerberg (founder and CEO), Marc Andreessen (investors), and Peter Thiel (investor).

Piracy accounts on Facebook are not a new and began to get serious attention. Previously, there was even the perpetrator of piracy that has taken over the 1.5 million accounts at Facebook and marketed in the “underground” forum.

Google to Open Digital Bookstor

Starting this summer, Google reportedly will start selling digital books through online bookstores which will open. Thus the latest CNN report quoted a company spokesman.

That would put Google in competition e-book market is now becoming popular. Kindle’s online bookstore Amazon.com jumped ahead to lead the market, but Barnes & Noble also catch up with the release of the e-reader Nook and Apple recently launched iBookstore for the iPad.

But with the new service, called Google Editions, Google does not set the service was only for PC tablets themselves. Unlike some competitors, Google is planning enables digital books to be read on many other devices. However, Google Editions, on the other hand, will not allow users to download digital books, but can only be accessed through a web browser and connect to the internet. And this is quite different from Amazon.com that forced publishers to package books with a specific format. Apple also embraces Epub industry standard, where its digital books can only be read on the Apple device or through Apple software.
