Tablet, Microsoft’s First Priority
Microsoft says that the development of Windows-based tablet is number one priority in this world’s largest software company.
“We shall create a Windows-based tablet 7. It is our priority at Microsoft and we will work very hard and fast in completing it,” said Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer was quoted as saying by the Straits Times, Friday (30/07/2010).
Unfortunately Ballmer himself did not give more details when these devices will be shipped. Only, he gave the assurance that product will be shipped as soon as possible if it is deemed ready to be marketed.
Ballmer added that currently they have established a commitment with some companies such as HP, Lenovo, Asus, Dell, Samsung, Sony and Toshiba. “We not only want to create a product but made people want to buy the product,” he said.
Microsoft is very keen to make a tablet that will be competing against Apple products, namely iPad. Microsoft is trying to make a computer touch screen that is a fusion of the smartphone and laptop computers
