Tablet PCs Apparently are Not Too Dominating the Market
Although tablet PCs increasingly tempting consumers, the fact is that only 11 percent of global online consumers interested in these tools. Consumers in the Middle East region showed the most interest in these devices than other consumers in other regions, even defeating the United States and Europe. This is what the study said quoted by The Nielsen Company.
Nielsen’s Research of ‘How We Watch’ shows that, in the regions of the Middle East, Africa and Pakistan (Middle East, Africa, Pakistan or MEAP) has a greater interest of tablet PCs than other regions in the world. Scores for the Latin American region is 109; showed slightly higher levels of the Tablet PC. Meanwhile, in Asia Pacific and Europe were both recorded an index score of 91, and North America has an index score of 73.
When it is traced from each country, the countries that have a substantial interest are not only from the MEAP, but also from Asia. Meanwhile, the Indonesia has an index score of 109, together with Estonia and beat the number of other Asian countries like Philippines, China, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, Japan.
This research was launched by Nielsen in March 2010 and then, with the numbers of respondents reached 17 665 online respondents who are over 15 years old. No fewer than 19 countries participated in this survey.
